Player Development

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Colorado Hoops Academy is recognized as one of the most advanced and complete basketball training programs in Colorado. Our player development sessions focus on the individual skills that actually move the needle — ball handling, shooting, footwork, and basketball IQ.

We focus on important aspects of the game that develop player skills to compete at the highest levels. Players will learn valuable skills both on and off the court, including strong teamwork and communication.

What To Expect

EVERY SESSION HAS A PURPOSE.

Ball Handling

Great ball handlers aren't born — they're built through repetition and intentional training. At CHA, players work on dribble moves, change of pace, and creating space off the bounce so they can confidently attack any defense. Whether you're a point guard or a big learning to put the ball on the floor, our sessions are designed to make you a threat every time you touch the ball.

Shooting

Shooting is the most valuable skill in basketball and also the most misunderstood. CHA coaches break down mechanics from the ground up — footwork, hand placement, release point, and follow through. Players get high-volume reps in game-realistic situations so that when the moment comes, the shot is automatic.

Footwork

Footwork separates good players from great ones. CHA sessions cover pivots, drop steps, jab steps, and post moves so that every player has a complete offensive toolbox. Strong footwork means fewer turnovers, cleaner finishes at the rim, and the ability to create separation at any position.
